The opening of " 1st National Comic Competition Against Animal Abuse" exhibition.
The exhibition opened last Saturday, June 26th, at the La Mano Zurda's Gallery, in Madrid.
At this opening, which became a meeting point for organizers, participants, press and public, we gave diplomas and prizes for the winning works, chosen by the prestigious jury, including, Cels Pinol, Emma Rios, Fermin Solis and David Baldeon.
The first prize went to Hector Garcia, for his entry, 'La Plaza' (The Bull Ring).Second prize to Patricia Benesiu Pueyo, for 'Esperandote' (Waiting For You). And third prize to Ovidio Miguel Maestro Selles, for '¿Continuara?'.
We congratulate the winners and sincerely appreciate and thank all participants who have contributed their work and helped set such a high standard for the competition.
The objectives of the competition were to offer a platform for young comic artists and at the same time, send a creative, artistic message about animal rights.
Planeta Animal also thanks Diábolo Ediciones, Editorial Norma, La Mano Zurda, Restaurante El Vergel, Bodegas Ramón Ramos and the panel members for their support and collaboration.
The exhibition is free of charge, and will remain opened to the public for a month.
Schedule: from Monday to Saturday, from 11:00h to 22:00h. Until the 23rd of July.
